The fruit of the Costantini family's labor, Venetian
gondoliers for 4 generations, Hotel Ca'Gottardi occupies
the main floor of an antique Venetian palace from the XV
century. Your greeting to the hotel begins with a pure white
stone balustrade, through which the light creates unique shadow
effects. Overlooking the Rio de Noal canal, you can admire
Ca'Pesaro to your right - today the home of the Modern Art
Gallery which reopened its doors in November 2002 after 10 years
of renovations. Inside the Ca'Gottardi's
guestrooms, furnishings have been crafted by local experts
in the classical Venetian 18th-century style, and evoke that
noble elegance that has made Venice famous throughout Europe.
Fine brocade curtains and carpets provide a warm contrast to a
light-filled ambience created by the high ceilings and large
windows. The city's world-famous "art of glass" is displayed in
the chandeliers, and in the public gold-framed mirrors. Parquet
floors composed of African woods, accented by warm tones of red
and maroon, are laid with rich soft carpeting. True elegance and
comfort is provided for guests: in-room amenities include
satellite television, mini bar, radio, heating and individually
controlled air-conditioning, modem internet connection, private
safe. Bathrooms are equipped with hair dryers, showers and two
have Jacuzzi showers with sauna.
