Points of Interest In Anguilla

Anguilla's 36 exquisite beaches are the island's central attraction: fine white sand, beautiful coral reefs and the splendid Caribbean waters! Rent a car, hop on a moped or use your feet to explore this rather small island. Be sure to sample a few beaches before settling on a favorite.
The Fountain
A national park and home of the Anguilla Museum which houses artifacts from aboriginal archaeological digs. The Fountain Cave has enormous stalagmite and ancient rock carvings. Addr: Near Shoal Bay Ph: 497-2767.
Scilly Cay
A secluded, peaceful island for excellent snorkeling, lush greenery and barbecued lobster & crayfish feasts at the main restaurant. Addr: Two minute boat ride from Island Harbor Jetty.
Carnival
A week long celebration beginning at the end of July. Parades, music, boat races and sporting events. Ph: Anguilla Tourist Office 497-2759. Wallblake House: An old plantation house (1787) echoing rumors of high living and dark intrigue. Owned by St. Gerard's Catholic Church. Addr: Cross Roads, The Valley Ph: 497-2405 for viewing.
Crocus Bay
An expansive port where sailboats are launched for the popular Anguilla boat races.
Sandy Ground
One of the most charming of Anguilla's harborside villages. Maunday's Bay: One of the best beaches for shell hunting and home to the Cap Juluca luxury resort.
