55 Miles Southeast of Budapest

Situated between the Danube and Tisza Rivers, this once flourishing medieval town was home to Hungary's famous modern composer, Zoltan Kodaly. Although historic architecture can still be viewed along Bank Ban and Janos Hoffman Streets, Kecskemet's landscape has been modernized with industry and the swell of progress. Many of the single-story dwellings are long gone.
